Standard sock elastic is often flat and tight, which can leave red marks or feel too restrictive, especially if you have larger or more sensitive ankles. Snag socks use a scalloped cuff edge instead of a plain elastic band, so it holds the sock up without digging in.

Our bamboo ankle socks are designed with exactly that in mind, using a soft, no-dig cuff that avoids the pressure a regular elastic band can put on ankles affected by things like lymphoedema, diabetes or lipedema. That said, we're not a medical product, so if you have a specific health condition it's worth checking with a doctor about what's right for you.

Snag bamboo socks blend bamboo viscose with a bit of polyamide specifically for extra durability, since bamboo fibre alone can wear thin quickly. That mix is what lets it hold up to regular wear without losing its softness straight away.

Ours are sized by shoe size rather than our usual clothing bands, across two ranges, roughly a 3.5 to 6.5 and a 7 to 11.5. It's worth checking your actual shoe size against those ranges rather than guessing.

Yes, bamboo fibres are naturally moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating, so they help manage sweat and odour better than a lot of standard cotton socks. Ours also has a bit of nylon and elastane blended in for durability and stretch.
